Lavigne To Release Album With More "Emotion"
The days of singing along to "Sk8ter Boi" while rocking a wife beater and tie (trucker hat optional) are long gone
but Avril Lavigne hopes to have staying power. Lavigne has announced that her new album,
currently untitled and slated for release in November, will be a little more raw and emotional.
Sounds promising, but do we believe her?
"A lot of the songs are mainly the acoustic and my vocal. It's a lot different from anything I've done before," Lavigne,
who penned many of the album's songs, told Billboard. "It's not a pop-rock record. This is more about emotion and feeling."
With husband Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 on board as the producer of eight of the twelve tracks, Lavigne wants to keep the album closer to home. She explains, "I'm kind of just keeping it in the family with all of my close friends. I didn't work with a ton of people this time."
To support the subdued quality of her new album, Lavigne hopes to embark on a theater tour rather than a much-hyped tour through large music venues. But the question remains: will Lavigne be able to tone down the partying to match her new record's sound?

but i'd heard before that her fourth album's name is goanna be call 'Fragrance' ?
Hmm, not sure whether i'd spelt it correctly, & maybe they decided not to call it 'Fragrance' already.

I'll just hold my judgement until I hear some of her songs.
